About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Middle Office and Valuations Senior Manager to join our Finance Operations & Controls unit and specifically Our Middle Office team, responsible for overseeing the valuation methods and processes of various derivatives instruments, the calculation of xVAs (credit, funding, capital, and margin valuation adjustments), the effectiveness of hedging relationships under hedge accounting and the risk control procedures followed. The role requires strong expertise in derivative products and risk management, for ensuring accurate valuation and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
• Works closely with front office, risk management, and finance teams to optimize valuation methods, xVA metrics and manage counterparty credit risk
• Oversees the calculation of Credit Valuation Adjustment (CVA), Debit Valuation Adjustment (DVA), Funding Valuation Adjustment (FVA), and other relevant adjustments
• Oversees the daily and periodic valuation of derivative portfolios and margin requirements ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Oversees independent price verification (IPV) processes to validate front-office valuations
• Develops and maintains robust control frameworks to ensure valuation processes adhere to internal policies and external regulations
• Ensures accurate and timely reporting of valuation adjustments and risks to senior management
• Drives process enhancements, automation, and efficiency improvements in valuation methodologies and controls
• Calculates sensitivity indices and adjustments (CVA, DVA, xVA) for capital adequacy and counterparty risk management
• Participates in the setup of new derivatives instruments and cooperates with external system or pricing vendors
Qualifications
• Postgraduate studies in Financial Mathematics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
• Up to 6 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role in Financial Institutions, such as Asset Management firms, Hedge Funds, Privaty equity Firms or Brokerage firms
• Deep expertise in derivative pricing, financial risk management, and regulatory frameworks, with a focus on CVA, DVA, FVA, and other relevant adjustments
• Excellent knowledge of SQL and BI tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Very strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset
