Role Overview We are looking for an experienced NATM Tunnel Shift Engineer to oversee tunneling operations executed under the New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM) during assigned shifts. The role includes managing excavation activities, installation of support systems, and all related tunneling works, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, project schedules, and top-tier safety standards. The ideal candidate is a Civil or Mining Engineer with proven hands-on experience in NATM tunneling projects, having successfully completed at least 1 km of tunnel construction. Main Responsibilities • Supervise and coordinate NATM tunneling works during your assigned shift. • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies. • Collaborate effectively with the Site Manager, Geotechnical Engineers, and other project teams to maintain smooth and efficient operations. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ESCO code 2142) or Mining Engineering (ESCO code 2146). • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in NATM tunneling. • Proven involvement in at least 1 km of NATM tunnel construction. • Working knowledge of tunneling design and analysis software (e.g. AutoCAD) will be considered an asset. • Excellent teamwork and communication skills with site teams, contractors, and consultants.
