The AML Manager will report to the AML Director and will be responsible for overseeing the proper handling of suspicious transactions and the implementation of established policies and procedures, as well as for developing risk-based tools / monitoring systems, to ensure that the Bank complies with all anti-money laundering regulatory requirements. The jobholder should possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills along with strong communication and leadership skills. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines. What you will be doing • Oversee the Local and European regulatory Framework regarding the prevention of money laundering and restrictive measures to ensure compliance within the Bank. • Monitor internal control mechanisms to maintain the Bank’s compliance with current regulatory framework for preventing and suppressing criminal money laundering activities and financial terrorism. • Oversee, monitor, and recommend improvement actions to eliminate deviations from the regulatory framework. • Oversee the appropriate update of ML/FT processes and activities and ensure their proper implementation. • Oversee the compliance of the Bank’s customers’ transactional behavior including their incoming and outgoing transfers in accordance with restrictive measures lists and ensure that appropriate instructions are provided to the relevant Business areas. • Ensure accurate and timely submission of reports regarding the prevention of ML/FT to the Competent Authorities and regarding suspicious activities to the Greek Financial Intelligence Unit. • Promote an AML compliance culture across the Bank, and raise awareness on key compliance issues, through training, seminars etc. • Effectively manage and guide the AML team, cultivating a high-performance and inspired team, while fostering a culture of empowerment, accountability, and inclusion. • Ensure the implementation and maintenance of appropriate ML/TF IT system. What you need to have • A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or any other related field of study. • A Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or any other related field of study. • At least three years (3) years of relevant managerial experience in AML supervision or in Auditing matters. • AML professional certifications will be considered an asset. • Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken). • Proficiency in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to challenge the status quo and ability to establish improvements. • Excellent leadership skills. • High level of integrity and confidentiality. • Ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize and handle multiple assignments.
