Join our team #AlphaBank #WeAreAlpha #EnablingProgress #AlphaCulture #ValuesThatLead #OneTeamOnePurpose Purpose As Senior Data Engineer (Financial Planning and Reporting Projects) you will report to the Financial Planning and Reporting Projects Director and will be responsible for drafting optimization proposals related to data aggregation activities in terms of accuracy, integrity, completeness, timeliness, and adaptability. You should be a strong team player with strategic thinking, complex problem solving and solid communication skills. What you will be doing • Demonstrate a good understanding of regulatory guidelines related to data aggregation activities and management's strategic objectives to identify data needs. • Examine the data model, data lineage and data dictionaries and drafts suggestions for improvement in terms of completeness, integrity, and comprehensiveness. • Examine the data extraction/sourcing of information, calculations, and data integration and drafts suggestions for improvement related to timeliness, integrity, and accuracy. • Examine reporting platforms and tools and draft suggestions for improvement concerning their usage to stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices. • Identify and propose optimizations for controls that ensure accurate and consistent available data in alignment with regulatory or external stakeholders' expectations. • Support and guide the preparation of business requirements, design and UAT scenarios to ensure quality on deliverables. • Act as a technical advisor and facilitate the implementation phase to ensure smooth and timely transition to BAU processes. What you need to have • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics, or any other related field of study. • A Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields of study will be considered a plus. • A professional accounting qualification, such as ACCA, ACA or a local equivalent, or working towards such a qualification. • At least five (5) years’ of professional experience in a similar role, or auditing the statutory financial statements of large groups, preferably financial institutions. • Strong ability to consolidate and analyze financial and non-financial data. • Familiarization with the SAP platform will be considered a strong plus. • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously. • Excellent command of the English and the Greek language (both written and spoken). • Advanced use of the MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
