[email protected] Responsibilities: - Oversees and coordinates the energy markets simulation team (day-ahead, intra-day, and balancing), in which markets the Group is or plans to be active. - Supervises the preparation of energy balances and the forecasting of the evolution of wholesale electricity prices and all other indicators related to the evolution of the country’s energy balance within a medium- to long-term horizon (from two to 15 years). - Oversees and develops scenarios related to the assessment of the portfolio flexibility (stress tests) of the Group, as well as the evaluation of new investments based on long-term market analysis. - Contributes to the recognition and establishment of Strategic objectives and Development strategies related to new business areas and geographies of the Group and the broader responsibilities of the Department, in general. - Simulates climate scenarios in cooperation with the competent Department. Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from a Greek or foreign University in Engineering, Finance or Sciences. - Master’s Degree in a subject related to Energy, RES, IT, or a study field related to the scope of the position. - A Doctoral degree in a field related to the responsibilities of the position will be an asset. - At least 8 years of proven professional experience in areas, such as: Strategic and business planning in the field of energy. Simulation of electricity markets using commercial / established energy models. - Energy markets, regulatory affairs and energy policy. - At least 2 years of proven experience in positions of responsibility related to team management and coordination. - Experience in large companies or organizations in the energy sector or in consulting firms, in areas related to the position's duties. - Knowledge of commercial and/or academic models of electricity market simulation (e.g. PLEXOS). - Excellent knowledge of the English language.
