The role combines statistical rigor, programming excellence, and business understanding to uncover opportunities, design data-driven strategies, and support strategic decision-making across the Bank. In addition to traditional data science methods, the Data Scientist contributes to the organization’s Generative AI and Agentic AI initiatives, applying cutting-edge techniques to automate processes, enhance customer experiences, and accelerate innovation. Responsibilities • Analyze complex and large-scale datasets using modern data analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven approaches to identify business opportunities and optimize decision-making. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate strategic and operational needs into data-driven solutions and analytical models. • Design, train, and deploy advanced statistical and machine learning models (GLMs, clustering, dimensionality reduction, classification, time series, tree-based algorithms, neural networks, optimization). • Work with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to create and implement solutions such as automated insight generation, intelligent document processing, or conversational AI agents. • Support the development of Agentic AI systems — autonomous, goal-driven agents that can reason, plan, and act using enterprise data to assist decision-making and operations. • Collaborate closely with Data Engineers to design and deliver end-to-end data products and production-grade AI applications. • Contribute to the development of MLOps and AIOps capabilities to ensure scalable, reliable, and continuously improving analytical systems. • Communicate analytical findings effectively through clear, data-driven storytelling and actionable recommendations. Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics) • Proven experience in machine learning and statistical modeling, including supervised and unsupervised learning, time series analysis, and optimization techniques. • Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with the broader data science ecosystem (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, OpenAI API, Hugging Face). • Experience with Generative AI tools and frameworks (e.g., LLM fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, or agent-based architectures). • Exposure to Big Data processing using tools such as Apache Spark, and understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and AI governance principles. • Experience working in cloud environments such as Databricks. • Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and MLOps frameworks. • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. • Analytical and business-oriented thinker capable of bridging data science innovation with real business value. • Passionate about emerging AI technologies — including GenAI, Agentic AI, and self-improving analytical systems • Collaborative communicator who can explain complex AI-driven insights in a clear, structured, and impactful way.
