Job Title: Chemical Engineer
Location: Athens, Greece
Description
We are seeking a Chemical Engineer to join our Health, Safety, Environment, Sustainability & Quality Division, focusing on fuel quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
• Monitor fuel quality control procedures and evaluate results to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Cooperate with external stakeholders to conduct the chemical fuel analyses on fuels and assess results for quality compliance
• Record and investigate quality-related incidents
• Act as EKO ABEE’s Private Chemist representative at the General State Laboratory and collaborate with the Legal Services Department on fuel quality-related cases
• Provide technical support to industrial clients about product quality, specifications, and applications
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement best practices in Fuel Quality Management
• Support internal and external audits related to fuel quality and safety
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from a Polytechnic School, with mandatory recognition by DOATAP in case the degree is awarded by a foreign institution
• At least 2 years of experience in fuel quality control, chemical analysis, and providing technical support to industrial clients
• Professional license to practice (registered with the Technical Chamber of Greece – TEE)
• Solid knowledge of relevant legislation and fuel specifications
• Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear information exchange
• Analytical and interpreting reasoning for data analysis with attention to detail
• Task planning and organization
• Technical proficiency and business acumen
• Commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance
• Team spirit and ability to work effectively within diverse teams
• Fulfilled Military obligations (mandatory for male applicants)
