ELVALHALCOR - Copper & Alloys Extrusion Division is searching for detail-oriented BUYER responsible for processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers and evaluating proposals, to join our Supply Chain team in our plant in Oinofyta, Voiotia, Greece Role Description Key Responsibilities: • Follow company’s purchasing procedures, guidelines and policy • Ensure the timely and correct ordering of all materials and services • Establish good communication & close cooperation with all interfacing departments • Prepare and issues purchase orders and contracts to the awarded suppliers • Handle logistics of the ordered materials, aiming at their timely and cost-effective delivery • Negotiate with suppliers, evaluates their performance, and continuously seeks for alternative procurement sources for cost reduction Requirements: • University Degree in the field of Engineering (preferred) • Educational background in Supply Chain or Finance (accepted) • Master’s degree will be considered an asset • Previous experience of 2-5 years within Procurement is preferred • Full professional proficiency in English • Strong computer proficiency, and advanced use of analytical software programs, e.g. Excel, Minitab • SAP MM module knowledge will be considered an asset • Team player • Strong organizational and time management skills • High sense of responsibility with special emphasis on compliance with company’s procedures and code of conduct The Company offers: • Dynamic work environment • Career and Development Plan • Continuous Training • Competitive remuneration package • Additional insurance coverage
