Job Overview: The Construction Project Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects. This includes evaluating project requirements, analyzing blueprints and specifications, preparing material takeoffs, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure cost-effective solutions. The role involves a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses • Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and related documents to determine project requirements • Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQ) • Develop project budgets based on cost estimates and client requirements • Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide value engineering recommendations • Build and maintain a database of reliable suppliers and subcontractors • Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to align estimates with project goals • Identify potential cost risks and uncertainties, and include contingency plans in estimates • Prepare detailed cost estimation reports and summaries for internal review and client presentations • Stay updated on construction industry trends, market prices for materials and labor, and changes in regulations. Qualifications: • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience may be considered) • At least 15 years of experience in construction project estimation, preferably with exposure to a variety of project types • Proficiency in estimation software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Primavera, or specialized costing tools • Proven experience in leading teams • Strong analytical and mathematical skills • Excellent knowledge of construction materials, methods, and standards • Strong communication and negotiation skills • Attention to detail and organizational skills Apply today and be part of a dynamic team!
