Role Overview We are looking for an accomplished NATM Tunnel Site Manager to lead the construction of tunnels executed under the New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM). The role involves full responsibility for planning, executing, and monitoring tunneling operations, ensuring strict compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a Civil or Mining Engineer with a strong track record in managing NATM tunneling projects, including at least 3 km of completed tunnel construction. Key Responsibilities • Manage and supervise all NATM tunneling construction activities, ensuring alignment with project schedules and specifications. • Ensure correct application of NATM principles and methodologies. • Identify and resolve technical or operational issues efficiently through effective problem-solving and decision-making. • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless execution. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ESCO code 2142) or Mining Engineering (ESCO code 2146) from a recognized university. • Minimum 10 years of experience in NATM tunneling projects. • Hands-on experience managing at least 3 km of NATM tunnel construction. • Familiarity with tunneling design and analysis software (e.g. AutoCAD) will be considered an asset. • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. • Proven ability to manage teams and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
