[email protected] Responsibilities: - Contributes to the preparation of optimal management strategies for the fixed assets (thermal units, Renewable Energy Sources (RES), Hydroelectric (HYS), load, storage) managed by the company in terms of economic efficiency and maximizing their value of use, taking into account their operational limitations - Undertakes the quantification of the financial performance of alternative competitive strategy scenarios in the short-term horizon and recognizes the best strategies for each case - Develops tools and prepares procedures in order to optimize the way PPC and its subsidiaries operate in the short-term energy markets with a view to optimally positioning the company against its competitors at national and regional level, as well as the most efficient operational management of fixed assets - Investigates and analyzes the optimal bidding strategy in order to operate the business as a Cumulative Demand Representation Agency and Renewable Energy Sources (RES), or other new activities, with the aim of maximizing the value of each portfolio - Prepares regular reports to the Management regarding the financial performance of the participation of the company's portfolios in the short-term energy markets - Plans the short-term operation of the portfolios (intramonth), with the aim of their optimal distribution and maximizing the benefit from their participation in the short-term markets - Coordinates the offer strategy of the daily shift of participation in the short-term markets and participates in the preparation of the fixed asset allocation offers Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree from a University in Engineering or Applied Mathematics or Computer Science or Applied Computer Science - Master’s degree in Energy or Energy Economics will be considered an additional qualification - At least five (5) years of relevant experience in managing distributed portfolios - Experience in a company of electricity production, trading, supply, transmission or distribution or in a consulting company in the energy sector will be considered an additional qualification - Certification of electricity energy trader in short-term markets - Certification of natural gas energy trader in short-term markets will be considered an additional qualification - Certification of energy futures energy trader will be considered an additional qualification - Experience in simulation/modeling of energy markets will be considered an additional qualification - Knowledge and use of Power BI will be considered an additional qualification - Good knowledge of the English language - Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) & Internet (applies to those who own a degree in Engineering or Applied Mathematics) - Availability in flexible working hours - Availability in case of emergency (upon phone contact) Competencies: - Accountability and result orientation - Teamwork and cross-functional collaboration - Problem-solving and decision-making - Effective communication - Adaptability - Organization development - Understanding of business environment - Personal development - Enabling change and innovation - Change management - Passion and self-motivation - Natural talent in communication Benefits: - Inclusive working environment - Continuous training and participation in development activities - Group health and life insurance program - Reduced electricity consumption invoice
