About the Role
We are looking for an Mergers and Acquisitions Professional to join our Corporate Development and Mergers-Acquisitions department and support the Group’s strategic growth through the execution of acquisitions, divestitures, and business restructurings. The Mergers-Acquisitions team plays a pivotal role in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, structuring transactions, and coordinating deal execution in alignment with the Group’s objectives for sustainable banking, capital efficiency, and operational improvement.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful transactions that support the Group’s long-term strategy, while working closely with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and senior leadership.
Responsibilities
• Lead the evaluation and execution of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures in alignment with the Group’s strategic priorities, emphasizing sustainable banking, capital efficiency, and portfolio optimization
• Identify, assess, and structure strategic investment opportunities with a focus on financial viability and long-term value creation
• Conduct end-to-end due diligence processes, including detailed financial modeling, valuation, commercial assessment, risk analysis, and operational review
• Drive transaction structuring and negotiations, working closely with internal and external legal, financial, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure robust deal execution
• Coordinate with external advisors, such as investment banks, legal counsel, and consultants, to manage and streamline the Mergers-Acquisitions process
• Oversee the preparation of investment proposals, offer submissions, and manage competitive bidding processes for acquisitions and asset disposals
• Lead post-transaction activities, including integration planning, execution, or divestiture separation, ensuring smooth transitions and delivery of deal value
• Deliver strategic recommendations, financial analyses, and transaction updates to the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and other governance bodies
• Provide insights on market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to support proactive strategic decision-making
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• 5–8 years of experience in Mergers - Acquisitions, investment banking, corporate finance, or a similar field
• Proven expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and comprehensive due diligence
• Solid understanding of Merger - Acquisition related legal, regulatory, and compliance frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to manage and close complex transactions under tight timelines
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
