About the Role We are looking for a Derivatives Trader to join our Capital Markets division. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge derivatives products (options, futures, swaps, structured instruments) across asset classes, while contributing to Piraeus’ strategic position in the markets. You will combine fast-paced trading execution, deep market analysis, and innovative strategy development, ensuring compliance and risk-adjusted returns. Responsibilities • Execute trades across interest rate, FX, and commodities derivatives with precision and speed. • Develop and implement trading strategies aligned with the Bank’s risk appetite. • Analyze macroeconomic data, pricing models, and market trends to identify opportunities. • Manage market, credit, and operational risks associated with trading activities. • Collaborate with risk managers, analysts, and other traders to refine strategies. • Maintain relationships with external and internal counterparties. • Ensure full compliance with ISDA, CSA, and internal risk policies. • Contribute to infrastructure and trading system enhancements. Qualifications • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering • Advanced degree (MBA/MSc) or certifications (CFA, FRM) preferred • Up to 5 years of experience in derivatives trading or related roles • Technical proficiency in Bloomberg, trading platforms, and financial modeling • Coding skills (Python, VBA) a strong plus • Strong knowledge of derivatives pricing, valuation, and hedging • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills • Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing market conditions What's In It For You In our bank it is a top priority to provide a modern work environment, where all our employees can perform and grow.
