Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trader to join our dynamic trading desk team. The successful candidate will be responsible for trading in foreign exchange (FX) spot and options, commodities, and interest rates. This role requires a deep understanding of market dynamics, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Trading Execution: Execute trades in FX spot and options, commodities, and interest rates markets in accordance with the firm's trading strategy and risk management guidelines.
• Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trading opportunities. Monitor market trends, news, and economic data to inform trading decisions.
• Risk Management: Implement and adhere to risk management protocols. Continuously assess and manage trading risks to ensure compliance with the firm's risk appetite.
• Portfolio Management: Maintain and manage trading portfolios. Optimize portfolio performance through strategic buying and selling of financial instruments.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, counterparties, and other market participants to ensure seamless execution of trades.
• Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on trading performance, market conditions, and risk exposures. Communicate findings to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Compliance: Ensure all trading activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices.
• Technology Utilization: Utilize advanced trading platforms and tools to enhance trading efficiency and accuracy. Stay informed about technological advancements in the trading industry.
You will be a great candidate if you:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in trading FX, commodities, and interest rates. Proven track record of success in a similar role.
• Skills:
o Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
o Proficiency in trading platforms and financial software (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters).
o Excellent understanding of financial markets, trading strategies, and risk management principles.
o Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o High level of integrity and ethical standards.
