Position Overview We are seeking a talented, goal-oriented individual, with a solid knowledge of Finance, to join our team as Head of Markets and Treasury Back Office Unit within Eurobank’s Markets & Funds Operations. The Unit’s main responsibilities are the settlement of the Bank’s Treasury transactions in financial instruments such Bonds, Repos, FX forwards, FX Options, FX Swaps, IRS, CIRS, CDS, Caps/Floors etc., the handling of both interbank and clients’ transactions’ confirmations, collateral management operations (margin calls, valuation statements, portfolio reconciliation) & Nostro accounts available funds reconciliation and monitoring. In your role as Head of Markets and Treasury Back Office Unit you will be responsible for a team of circa 18 individuals, overseeing and managing day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of Treasury transactions & confirmations, compliance with internal controls & regulations and effective coordination with the Bank’s Markets & Treasury Units for Greece and International Subsidiaries. Your key responsibilities will be: • Direct and manage the daily operations of the Treasury Back Office, ensuring all trade confirmations, settlements, and payments are executed accurately and on time, adhering to relevant market standards. • Lead, coach, and develop the Markets and Treasury Back Office team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. • Establish, maintain, and enforce a robust internal control framework and ensure compliance with internal policies, and regulatory requirements. • Conduct regular reviews and audits of operational procedures to identify control gaps and implement corrective actions. • Lead initiatives to identify, develop, and implement system enhancements and automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. • Serve as escalation point for all operational issues and cooperate with internal and external auditors. • Stay current with changes in financial market regulations, technology, and best practices in treasury back-office operations. You will be a great candidate if you: • Hold a Bachelor and/or postgraduate degree in Finance or a related field of study. • Have a solid understanding of financial instruments (Bonds, OTC Derivatives, FX products etc.). • Have over 6 years’ relevant professional experience in a managerial position. • Are Proficient of the MS Office suite, with emphasis on MS Excel, and familiar with the use of new technologies GEN-AI, Robotics etc. • Are fluent in English language. • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
