👉Lead Data Engineer As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be join in the IT Digital Services & Data Analytics Division and you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and supervision of software development teams. Performs mentorship to the team and collaborates with other technical supervisors to identify opportunities for improvement and for setting the technical directions and strategy for the team. What you will be doing • Leads the design of complex/innovative data management, data quality, and data analytics solutions that may exist within the Domain. • Engages and collaborates with stakeholders at various levels, including executives, business leaders, and technical teams, to understand their needs and provide data engineering solutions that meet their requirements. • Provides technical expertise, guidance, and mentorship to Data/ Senior Data Engineers, promoting best practices, efficient workflows, and effective collaboration. • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including business units, data analysts, and IT, to understand requirements, align priorities, and foster effective communication. • Ensures adherence to data governance frameworks, privacy regulations, and security standards, implementing controls and measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality. • Oversees the end-to-end delivery of data engineering projects, including project planning, resource management, risk mitigation, and quality assurance. • Drives technical excellence within the data engineering team, staying abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices. • Identifies and mitigates risks associated with data engineering projects, such as technical challenges, resource constraints, and data security vulnerabilities. • Defines architectural decisions about the data flow between the organization's applications, in relation to the Data Management principles and requirements. What you need to have • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics or related field • A Masters’ degree in a related field (preferred) • At least ten (10) years of experience in data warehouse and data analytics solutions • Proven experience in leading/working directly with software development teams in Enterprise level projects (Agile and Waterfall methodologies). • Knowledge of IBM CloudPak for Data, Netezza DWH Appliance, Cloudera Data Platform would be strongly considered as a plus.
