As Bank Financial Controlling Specialist you will be responsible for the execution of first and second level financial controls in relation to the Bank’s General Ledger accounting balances. What you will be doing • Perform first level financial controls on the Bank’s general ledger account balances falling within the responsibility of the Business Areas (IT balances reconciliations, review of IT applications end-of-month accounting processes and related results, monitoring of interbranch/intermediary/in transit accounts). • Perform second level financial controls on the Bank’s general ledger account balances falling within the responsibility of other Business Areas (verification of balances from account owners, review of first level reconciliations on a sample basis, inquire on account balances, deferred tax balances second level reconciliation). • Assist with the resolution of financial control findings. • Maintain respective records of reconciliations/financial controls carried out (reconciliation inventory) for the Bank’s balance sheet general ledger accounts. • Assist with the development of the necessary reconciliation reports and the design of appropriate financial controls. What you need to have • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or in any other related field of study. • A Master’s degree in any of the abovementioned fields is preferred. • At least five (5) years of working experience in accounting or in related services. • Relevant professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACA, ACCA) will be considered an asset. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. • Critical thinking and attention to detail. • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office applications. • Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken).
