Join our Finance team and #be_part_of_tomorrow #WeAreAlpha #EnablingProgress #ValuesThatLead #OneTeamOnePurpose Purpose As Suspicious Transactions Monitoring Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the transaction monitoring processes, aiming to detect, assess, document, and mitigate the risks arising from customers’ transactional behavior. What you will be doing • Monitor customers’ transactional activity and develop and apply proper criteria for their evaluation, in line with the applicable regulatory framework. • Review on a continuous basis the efficiency of the customer transaction monitoring process regarding the ML/FT risk and recommend enhancements thereof. • Participate in Committees to review the transaction monitoring scenarios in the AML System and provide appropriate feedback for the enhancement of these scenarios. • Ensure an effective communication and escalation process is in place, to raise cases of suspicious transactions to senior management on a timely basis. • Collect and analyze historical data regarding the volumes of AML system alerts generated and the handling thereof and recommend improvements to the procedures in place. • Drive the annual training plan on the items under their competences, to promote internal awareness on AML matters and provide guidelines to the Business Areas in handling AML challenges. • Effectively manage and guide the Transactions Monitoring team, cultivating a high-performance and inspired team, while fostering a culture of empowerment, accountability, and inclusion. What you need to have • A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or any other related field of study. • A Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or any other related field of study, will be considered an asset. • At least three (3) years of relevant managerial work experience in Compliance Control, AML or Audit. • AML / CFT professional certifications (ACAMS / ICA) will be considered an asset. • Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken). • Proficiency in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to challenge the status quo and ability to establish improvements. • Excellent leadership skills • High level of integrity and confidentiality. • Ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize and handle multiple assignments.
