About the role: We're seeking a visionary leader to build Qualco Group's blockchain and digital asset solutions division from the ground up. This is a greenfield opportunity to translate our proven banking and financial services expertise into the blockchain ecosystem, creating next-generation products for digital asset platforms, DeFi protocols, crypto exchanges, and blockchain-based financial institutions. This role is perfect for someone who wants to bridge traditional finance and blockchain innovation while relocating to Greece through the ReBrain Greece initiative. What You'll Do • Product Strategy & Development: Design and lead the creation of blockchain-native versions of Qualco's core offerings, including risk management, compliance, portfolio management, and operational infrastructure for digital asset firms; • Market Development: Leverage your US blockchain industry network to establish partnerships with crypto exchanges, DeFi protocols, blockchain infrastructure providers, and digital asset custodians; • Thought Leadership: Position Qualco Group as a trusted technology partner in the blockchain space through speaking engagements, industry participation, and strategic relationships; • Regulatory Navigation: Apply your understanding of both traditional banking regulations and emerging crypto compliance frameworks to build solutions that meet evolving standards; • Team Building: Recruit and lead a team of blockchain engineers, product managers, and business development professionals; • Bridge Building: Translate traditional banking concepts into blockchain applications and vice versa, serving as the bridge between two worlds; • Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy. Requirements: • Experience at both traditional financial institutions AND blockchain-native companies; • Track record of successful product launches in the blockchain space; • Existing relationships with US digital asset platforms or DeFi protocols; • Understanding of how traditional banking products (credit risk, collections, portfolio management) translate to crypto lending, DeFi, or digital assets; • Greek heritage or connection with desire to contribute to Greece's technology ecosystem.
