Job Title: Process Section Head Company: Archipetrol S.A. Location: Koropi, Athens - Greece Job purpose: We are seeking for a Process discipline section head, who besides to have strong and long technical experience, will be able to: 1. develop the process department in terms of human resources, procedures & specifications. 2. train and monitor the development of the assigned engineers to the department. 3. nominate the Project Process leaders developing to Project requirement and characteristics. 4. ensure the quality of the deliverables issued by the engineers to the projects. 5. support the proposal management for the estimation of activities pertaining to his discipline department. 6. respond hierarchically to the Operations Manager. 7. delivery and coordination of technically complex process engineering design within proposals, studies, projects execution & operations, as part of a study and/or project team, in accordance with design & engineering standards & procedures, schedules and budget, with a continuous concern for quality standards, targets and customer satisfaction. 8. Any other activity requested by the company pertaining to the process department. Reporting lines and interactions: Hierarchically and Operationally reports to: Operations Manager Key interactions (internally, externally): Internally: Process Project Leaders, Project Engineers Externally: Project Manager, other discipline Section Heads, project support functions such as Procurement, subcontracting & Planning, Document controller, Audit & certification, Site Manager. Profile: Must have • BE or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, and MSc (preferably in an international English-speaking University). • PhD in relevant field of expertise would be a definite advantage. • Minimum of 10 years’ experience, relevant experience in a similar role related to Oil & Gas Projects and detailed engineering in the field of expertise (Process engineering - preferably within a major engineering company). • In depth knowledge of international codes & standards, international design guidelines & recommendations (like NFPA, API, etc). • Knowledge of performing basic process calculations and preparation of process data sheets for equipment and instruments. • Knowledge of developing and follow-up of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), H&MBs and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), as well as mechanical line & equipment lists. • Experience in safety assessment studies (HAZOP,etc.). • Experience in Environmental regulatory requirements (local, international), review and understanding of local Environmental Laws would be a definite advantage. • Ability to liaise with the other engineering disciplines, assisting them during detail engineering. • Experience using relevant Process commercial software applicable to Oil & Gas projects (like PIPENET, AspenTech HYSYS, SIMSCI PROII, FLARENET, PIPESIM, etc). • Technical competence in Process engineering with strong technical background, and advanced analytical skills in basic and detailed engineering design from project feasibility stage to plant commissioning and startup • Evaluation and assisting on selection of process technologies available in the O&G industry as well as other relevant sectors. • Be able to work in a team environment and handle multiple Project responsibilities. • Willing to work on a national and international environment. • Previous exposure to international environment will be considered an advantage. • Mobility is desirable to participate in working teams at project home offices throughout the countries where EPC projects are executed. • Excellent command (written and spoken) Nice to have • Knowledge in design and/or operations of major refinery units • Knowledge of materials Main accountabilities: • Is responsible for maintaining project schedule, company quality standards, all contractual requirements and execution plan. • Is responsible for planning of manpower and work distribution within group on regular basis. • Is responsible for preparation of feasibility study reports or preliminary project reports. • Supervises process engineering activities. • Manages and controls man/hours and material quantities. • Is responsible for proposing cost effective solutions. • Coordinates with Lead Engineers of other departments and project support functions such as procurement and planning. • Ensures that the discipline engineering deliverables are compliant with project QHSE plan and discipline engineering processes & standards. • Works towards development and training of subordinates. • Provides assistance to Process Department Head in various departmental activities. • Contributes to project close out and lessons learned.
