Financial Compliance Officer Main Purpose We are looking for a Financial Compliance Officer who will be responsible for the day to day operation of the Trafigura Group Compliance program and for preventing the organisation from breaching relevant rules and regulations in the financial markets. Link for Application: https://trafigura.wd3.myworkdayjobs.com/TrafiguraCareerSite/job/Athens-Greece/Financial-Compliance-Officer_R-015329 Knowledge Skills And Abilities, Key Responsibilities - 2-6 years compliance or legal experience in commodity related financial markets, ideally with time spent at a major European or US -commodity futures exchange. - Excellent English language communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact at different levels of the business effectively. - Good communicator (written and oral) in order to take care of internal and external stakeholders (e.g. banks and exchanges, clearing houses) - Attention to detail - Ability to deliver “difficult messages” - Manage and maintain good working relationships - Trained to work around a problem and find alternatives - Good relationships with back offices (derivative ops trade support etc.) Key Responsibilities - Be responsible for preparing and submitting any Exchange applications that the business may require - Have a good understanding of hedge exemptions and ensure we comply with the exchange rules in this regard and re apply for these in good time; - Review and prepare responses on all exchange and regulatory enquiries - Prepare and submit regulatory outreach we receive from our counterparties and brokers - Analyse market abuse alerts across all markets and products to identify potential instances of market abuse - Escalate potential instances of market abuse and draft all necessary suspicious activity reports for submission to regulators - Participate and lead where required in periodic reviews of market abuse alert parameters and thresholds - Periodically review and update where required all surveillance related procedures - Assist compliance management on the completion of all regulatory threshold calculations and notifications to regulators - Perform monitoring to ensure compliance of our regulatory transaction reporting - Assist compliance management monitor and communicate relevant Exchange rules to the business including but not limited to position limits for both swaps and futures contracts, execution procedures for EFP’s, EFS’s, block trades etc. - Assist compliance management to ensure all required ISDA documentation is in place for all inter-affiliate and associated company swaps - Perform ad hoc duties as directed by compliance management Key Relationships And Department Overview -Trading teams -Legal -Finance -Deals Desk -Operations Department Overview Trafigura's Financial Compliance Department plays a crucial role in ensuring the company's adherence to all applicable financial regulations across its global trading operations.
