Agrohellas S.A., a leading Greek company in the agriculture and livestock sector, is seeking to hire a Trade Commodity Manager. The Trade Commodity Manager is responsible for managing, optimizing, and developing the company’s trading activities in agricultural and livestock commodities. The role combines market analysis, procurement, risk management, and negotiation, ensuring that raw materials are purchased and sold under the best possible commercial conditions while maintaining supply security and profitability targets. Key Responsibilities - Monitor international and domestic markets for agricultural and livestock raw materials. - Analyze trends in prices, supply and demand, exchange rates, and transportation costs. - Track weather conditions, geopolitical factors, and futures markets to support informed trading decisions. - Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, brokers, and traders in Greece and abroad. - Evaluate performance and profitability per product and supplier. - Negotiate and execute purchase contracts for agricultural products, feed, and fertilizers. - Manage timing of purchases and sales based on price forecasts and inventory needs. - Monitor price exposure and utilize hedging tools (contracts, forwards, futures). - Manage risks in accordance with company policy and profitability objectives. - Prepare reports on markets, trading positions, and performance for senior management. Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in commodity procurement and trading. - Excellent command of Greek and English (both written and spoken). - Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel). - Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills. - Solid understanding of commodity markets and hedging techniques. - Availability for domestic and international travel. Desired Qualifications - Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Soft1) and trading platforms. - Experience in hedging, futures markets, and risk management.
