Role Overview
The primary responsibility of the role is to develop and implement strategic plans that enhance the profitability and growth of the Bank. The position involves market analysis, identification of investment opportunities, and management of complex financial transactions to maximize investment potential.
Role Focus
• Manage, support, and oversee complex financial transactions such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), securitizations, portfolio sales, and capital-strengthening activities (e.g., capital increases, synthetic securitizations, etc.).
• Assist in execution of investment and sale transactions, including comprehensive due diligence and project management.
• Participate in the implementation of strategic initiatives that aim to increase profitability and competitiveness of the Bank.
• Develop strategic plans that support the Bank’s long-term objectives.
• Conduct financial analyses and evaluations to support investment decisions.
• Identify and analyze risks related to investment strategies and transactions.
• Perform market and sector analyses to identify investment opportunities.
• Negotiate legal documentation and commercial terms of transactions.
• Collaborate with legal, financial advisors, and other external partners to ensure successful transaction completion.
• Develop and maintain relationships with strategic partners, investors, and other stakeholders.
• Support with the preparation of all required material (e.g., presentations) for committees, BoD’s, etc.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments.
• Implement the Bank’s processes, procedures, and policy framework.
• Ensure strict compliance with the Bank’s regulatory and legal framework.
• Undertake any additional areas of responsibility or duties assigned by the Head of the Unit.
Qualifications and Skills
• University degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or any other related field
• Postgraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline
• Extensive prior relevant professional experience.
• Expertise in M&A evaluation, M&A structure and execution, strategic deals
• Professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, ACCA) will be considered an asset
• Strong understanding of Financial Markets and Investment Banking
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strategic mindset and analytical thinking
• Excellent analytical and strategic skills
• Strong data analysis and portfolio analysis capabilities
