The company Founded in 1993 and celebrating 32 years as a public company, TEN is one of the first and most established public shipping companies in the world. TEN's diversified energy fleet currently consists of 82 vessels, including ten DP2 shuttle tankers, three VLCCs, one scrubber fitted suezmax vessel, two scrubber-fitted MR product tankers and five scrubber-fitted LR1 tankers under construction, consisting of a mix of crude tankers, product tankers and LNG carriers totaling approx. 11 million dwt. TEN together with its affiliated companies provide a wide spectrum of employment opportunities and, thus, is seeking to enhance its dynamic team by recruiting dedicated, high-calibre professionals to join the workforce Financial Analyst Main duties and responsibilities • Support the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports. • Assist in vessel performance and voyage economics analysis, including TCE calculations, bunker cost allocation, and revenue/expense breakdowns. • Participate in monthly and quarterly closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. • Conduct financial modelling, including cash flow projections, sensitivity analyses, and investment appraisals for vessel acquisitions, sales, or chartering scenarios. • Analyze OPEX, CAPEX, and dry-docking expenses, identifying trends and cost optimization opportunities. • Monitor market data, freight indices, interest rates, bunker prices, and other macroeconomic indicators relevant to shipping. • Prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership. • Support internal audits and compliance procedures, including documentation and data integrity checks. • Collaborate with commercial, operations, and technical departments to gather financial data and develop cross-departmental insights. • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial tools and databases within the company’s ERP and reporting systems. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. • A Master’s degree or professional studies (ACCA, CFA Level I, ICAEW) will be considered an asset. • 2 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in shipping, energy, or a related sector will be an asset. • Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and analytical methods. • Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts; VBA is a plus). • Familiarity with ERP systems, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), or shipping-related systems is an advantage. • Basic knowledge of financial modelling and valuation techniques. • Ability to analyze large datasets and extract insights. • Strong analytical and numerical reasoning. • High attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Professionalism, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility. • Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken).
