Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Main duties and responsibilities • Develop the company’s information security strategy and policies. • Promote security awareness and oversee governance frameworks. • Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments for all systems (ERP, cloud, vessel networks). • Oversee mitigation plans and third-party/vendor security. • Ensure adherence to IMO 2021, ISM/TMSA, ISO 27001, GDPR, and internal policies. • Support audits and maintain documentation. • Define secure architecture for on-prem, cloud, software platforms, and vessel IT/OT. • Review and approve the security design of new software and digital projects. • Oversee monitoring, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and SOC/SIEM activities. • Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity readiness. • Lead cyber incident handling, investigations, and reporting to management. • Work closely with IT (ashore/onboard), mainly technical, marine, crewing, purchasing, departments Qualifications • At least years in IT/security roles; maritime experience is an advantage. • Strong knowledge of network, cloud, identity, and application security. • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCISO, or ISO 27001 are preferred. • Strong leadership, communication, and risk-based decision-making skills.
