Starting with the role:
Currently, we are searching to hire a Chief Operation Officer (COO) to join our Team.
During your day you will:
• Be accountable for the management of renewables operations, including Engineering & Construction, Portfolio Management, O&M, and Energy Studies
• Lead and shape the strategic direction of the renewables division, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and market opportunities
• Oversee project delivery (budget, time, quality), ensuring that all issues and risks are identified and properly mitigated
• Monitor the Portfolio Management function and provide direction in strategic decisions regarding operating assets
• Supervise Operations & Maintenance activities and intervene when necessary to ensure all critical tasks are performed on time and to the highest standards
• Oversee and coordinate Energy Studies by providing guidance on areas of focus for analysis
• Guide and support the wider team in managing relationships with Public Authorities and senior stakeholders
• Be accountable for achieving the goals of the renewables division and maintaining the respective P&L budget
• Ensure full compliance of the renewables business with QHSSE standards, company policies, and processes, while overseeing the development of new policies and updates to existing ones, including sign-off procedures
• Set KPIs across the renewables business to measure efficiency and productivity, and be accountable for the overall performance of the Renewables teams
• Manage renewables business teams, oversee workforce planning, and provide directions in line with departmental targets
• Support the implementation of talent management initiatives and workforce development
• Provide effective and timely reporting to MORE’s and MOH Group’s Top Management
What you need to stand out:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Master’s degree in energy related fields is considered a plus
• At least 15 years of professional experience in Project Development with emphasis in construction and Asset Management within the Energy and/or Utilities sector with a focus on renewables
• Proven track record of people management and development
• Strong understanding of technical, commercial and financial specifications and regulatory requirements across the renewables value chain
• Strong knowledge on Microsoft Office Suite
• Fluency in English (proficiency in writing, reading, speaking)
• Knowledge of additional languages would be considered an asset
