Job Description Job Title: Chemical Engineer Company: Archipetrol S.A. Location: Koropi, Athens - Greece Job purpose: Delivery and coordination of technically complex process engineering design within proposals, studies, projects execution & operations, as part of a study &/or project team, in accordance with design & engineering standards & procedures, schedules and budget, with a continuous concern for quality standards, targets and customer satisfaction. Reporting lines and interactions: Hierarchically reports to: Process Dept. Head Operationally reports to: Project Manager Key interactions (internally, externally): Internally: Other discipline engineers, Project Engineers, Designers Externally: Project Manager, other discipline Lead Engineers, project support functions such as Procurement, subcontracting & Planning, Document controller, Audit & certification, Site Manager; Client/ PMC; Partners in the case of JV. Profile: Must have • University degree in chemical engineering and theoretical knowledge of process design methods & tools. • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role. • Process Simulation S/W (AT HYSYS, SIMSCI PROII etc.) • Design / Drafting S/W (AUTOCAD, etc) • Knowledge of General S/W (MS Office etc) • •Basic Programming skills (Visual Basic) • Be able to work in a team environment and handle multiple Project responsibilities • Willing to work on a national and international environment • Fluent in English (written and spoken) • Fluent in Greek Nice to have • Knowledge of materials Main accountabilities: • Is responsible for schedule, quality, all contractual requirements and execution plan. • Is responsible for Planning of manpower and work distribution within group on regular basis. • Is responsible for preparation of feasibility study reports or preliminary project reports. • Supervises engineering activities. • Manages and controls man/hours and material quantities. • Is responsible for proposing cost effective solutions. • Coordinates with Lead Engineers of other departments and project support functions such as procurement and planning. • Ensures that the discipline engineering deliverables are compliant with project QHSE plan and discipline engineering processes & standards. • Works towards development and training of subordinates. • Provides assistance to Process Department Head in various departmental activities. • Contributes to project close out and lessons learned.
