Operationally reports to: Project Manager. Directly Supervises (operationally): Lead Disciplines Engineers. Key interactions internally: Engineering and non-Engineering disciplines. Key interactions Externally: Clients, Sub-Contractors, Vendors, Licensors, Authorities, Partners. Profile: Must have BSc / MSc qualification in engineering. Solid background as a Project Engineer in Oil and Gas Projects. Demonstratable diversity of project execution experience in Oil and Gas Sector (i.e., Feasibility/PDP/FEED/EPC/PMC) Competency in engineering work processes, inter-discipline relationships. Excellent communication skills and an understanding of contracts and project related issues. Nice to have: Familiarity with tendering practices of PDP, FEED and EPC and exposure to tender evaluation and scoring criteria/processes. Experience as Field Engineering Manager Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, IPMA) Main accountabilities: Leading engineering and design activities on projects. Assessing engineering discipline progress and performance against the schedule and managing changes that may impact the scope, budget, or schedule of a project. Planning and management of engineering resources, identifying and pursuing opportunities for margin improvement. Overseeing small to medium size projects, providing direction and leadership within the project environment to groups engineering disciplines. Directing the development of engineering project execution strategy; identifying technical interfaces, technical risks / mitigations. Implementing, controlling and resolving all aspects of interface management whether plant physical battery limits, external third-party physical interfaces, client, subcontractor or licensor interfaces as required for the project. Developing and managing the engineering input to the project schedule and driving engineering teams to comply with requirements, schedule milestones and key performance indicators. Capability to generate key project documents including those directing engineering strategy, implementation and ensuring technical excellence. Coordinating with other leaders within the project organization ensuring that multi-discipline interfaces are properly addressed with resolution of technical issues.
