To meet current corporate needs, we would like to bring to our team a QS/Contracts Manager Malls We are looking for a QS Manager to join our Malls team. The QS Manager of the Malls team will be responsible for all Quantity Surveying services of the Malls projects from the initial project development phase to design and construction delivery phases The QS Manager will be reporting to the Construction Director. Key responsibilities: Core competencies, knowledge & experience: • Review and recommend approval of the contractors’ monthly interim payments certifications. • Review, comment and recommend approval of project BoQs prepared by external consultants throughout the project lifecycle. • Evaluate construction packages BoQs as well as construction contract variation orders • Collaborate and advise project directors on commercial and contractual matters while handling construction contracts • Scrutinize construction material and labor costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals. • Provide constructability, value engineering and cost feedback during design and throughout the project design evolution during the construction phase. • Review and validate cost assessments of revised design issued to the contractors • Attend in the capacity of the QS Subject Matter Expert (SME) design review meetings, progress meetings, interface meetings, risk management meetings, construction meetings and testing and commissioning meetings. • Advise on budgeting for revised design and/or propose value engineering options • Assist in the Pre-development budgeting for new projects/sub-projects. • Assist with the preparation and execution of design and construction contracts. • Ensure that the Employer's requirements and standards are captured through the design development process. • Assist in developing material standardization. • Review construction plans and prepare variation tables (excel). • Liaise with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors. • Interview and qualify of QS associate candidates for the specific project need.
